One of the things we are the most proud about here at GSBTB HQ is the way we, in a very organic way, connect super talented people who then start working on amazing new brainy things together.

After their fabulous first issue about Berlin, the NANSEN Magazine team is ready to go global, introducing readers to migrants of all kinds living all over the world, and finding out what we all have in common.

The magazine was launched by longterm GSBTB teammate Vanessa Ellingham last year (Vanessa runs our online magazine and communications), and it is one crazy example of “made by migrants, for migrants”, even if you just count the GSBTB community members! In the video you’ll spot GSBTB team members Eli Waël Khleifawi, Hania Hakiel and Abeera Atifadze. Behind the scenes is Andreas Nielsen, who produced the video, with brainy strategy help from Majid Albunni.

The magazine’s first issue featured photography from long-time GSBTB superstar photographers Kalle Kuikkaniemi and Olga Baczynska. The website was made by Danilo Sierra at mimosa agency. And it’s all about one of our favourite migrant Berliners, Aydin Akin and his protest, which we’ve shared on our magazine in the past.

This is one GSBTB community project worth supporting! And for your funding support there are some great rewards up for grabs: the magazine, of course, but also snazzy tote bags to show off your migrant pride, plus a once-in-a-lifetime bike tour of Berlin with the bike protestor AYDIN AKIN himself!

Get yourself a magazine or another reward on their Kickstarter and support their work giving migrant stories beautiful packaging and taking them global!
