We are extremely humbled over GSBTB being among so many other great civil society leaders, grassroots activists, and young change-makers from all around Europe for a conversation with Barack Obama during his Town Hall meeting on what it means to be an active citizen in Berlin. It obviously doesn’t get more “establishment” than hanging out with a former US president, but if that establishment starts listening to or looking a little bit more like the crowd that was present in that room it would already be a win for the world. Diversity and representation matter, in big and in small ways and on all levels of society. We’re keen to continue pushing forward with those questions, together with the great people who were present at that meeting
