We are looking for two people (preferably men) who can support the wonderful Somali boys (age: 11 to 16) in learning German, homework and just in the process of finding their way in the still new for them Berlin reality.
What do we need?
Availability once a week for min. 3 hours (including commuting to the teen).
Commitment for min. 6 months.
Above all, patience, calmness and openness to the process that is building a relationship with another person.
German at the level of min. B2.

Help migrants and refugees build German language skills in a friendly environment.
Give Something Back to Berlin is looking for German-speaking volunteers to join the Sprachcafé and help lead conversations in German. It's a warm and friendly environment that helps people practice their German at any level and learn about different cultures.
The Sprachcafé runs every Wednesday from 17:30 to 19:30 at Refugio Café, Lenaustrasse 4. 12047 Berlin.

We Are Village is looking for a new project manager!
Now there is a unique opportunity to become part of our team: we are now looking for a new team member to join us in a very exciting project manager role. You will lead a growing team - totaling about 5 employees - in the areas of event management, communication, as well as customer care & team building, and report to the management. Some of these positions are already filled, while others still need to be recruited.
Tasks:
● Organization and coordination of all we are village | queer matters events and projects with the management and the rest of the project team.
● Planning and implementation of the project's strategy in strong collaboration with the management.
● Operational, precise, and efficient integration and cohesion of the different projects and workflows.
● Creating strategic and operational simplicity and clarity from complexity.
● Team responsibility: The team will have about 5 to 7 employees, and you - in coordination with the management - will be responsible for coordinating, directing, and coordinating the work, as well as internal processes in areas such as communication, event coordination, customer, online user & member care, as well as studio care.
● Coordination and cooperation with our funding partners as well as compliance with documentation and reporting obligations with the support of administrative staff.

Collectivewebs is looking for learning and emerging artists!
The program aims to weave a collaborative network of decolonial and horizontal exchange and co-creation, to reshape and reimagine our relationships with the environment and with each other out of exploitative and hierarchical structures.
Format
Through a collective process with horizontality as our premise, mixing research and art practice in a 5-month project, we aim to envision other possible systems to live in horizontal and fertile ways. At the end of the program, we will work together to co-create a living art installation materializing the collective research and reflections. The program is divided into 3 phases:
1. Research
2. Horizontal Sharing
3. Creation

Amateur, learning, and emerging artists from a wide range of practices. Focused, but not limited to:
young emerging artists (18-28 years old)
Migrants and refugees
Women and queer individuals
*Stages 2 and 3 are happening in person in Berlin, therefore we prioritize participants living there or with flexibility to join the sessions.

Our English speaking group meets every Tuesday and our Arabic language café takes place every Thursday! Join us to practice in a friendly atmosphere with volunteer instructors and learners. All for free!
You can contribute to our work and become part of our community by making a donation, either as a private person or as an organisation. Every donation is important for us, big or small, from 10 euro a month to one-time 5000 euro contribution.
