World Refugee Day is not enough! Societies are the stories they tell themselves, and we are proud to be a diverse community of people, each one of us with an individual story. Our community navigates the landscape of Europe’s migrational past, present and future every day.
On June 21st we celebrate the ongoing struggle for respect and equality for all people by serving up an official Fête de la Musique – Berlin stage with a line up as diverse as our community.

Check out this amazing musical Line-Up:

Antinational Embassy
Antinational Embassy are a revolutionary musical force born out of the 2013 occupation of Ohlauerstraße and the resistance struggle at Oranienplatz. A powerful group of musicians from Africa, Europe and the Americas who use reggae, ska, rock and hip-hop to spread their crucial message of unity, liberation and equality.

Glassberg & The Disasters
Take the wit and grit of the New York-Berlin antifolk scene (Jeffrey Lewis, Moldy Peaches, The Burning Hell); add shameless pop harmonies, a touch of country and a saxophone solo.

The SchnickSchnack
Eccentric, talented and energetic Japanese/German electro-pop duo who have to be one of the most entertaining live acts in Berlin. “Wir sind der Pop der an Dir kleben bleibt, wie Kaugummi an Deinem Schuh, der süße Fehler der den Gehweg zuckert.”

Ben Osborn
Ben Osborn is a composer, poet and multi-instrumentalist. Channelling Leonard Cohen-esque balladry, Ben draws also from electronica, folk and 20th century art music. He has just released his debut album “Songs From The Border” to much critical acclaim. Ben is one of the coordinators of our beloved GSBTB Open Music Lab.

A soulful and eclectic “one-woman-band”. Luianna uses drum machines, synths and vocal loops to create alternative electronic pop with no limitations.

PAUL is the best unknown rapper in Berlin. He has been rapping since the 90s and deals with both social and personal topics, from critical to humorous. On various CDs there is a musical mixture of HipHop, Funk and Reggae, live it is often a bit more electronic. He just finished is his new EP “Paul meets Ed Rich”.

The GSBTB Open Music School
A short performance from students of the GSBTB – Open Music School!

There will also be several radical organisations representing by explaining their work on stage and with info stands. More info coming soon!
